Terms of use

The terms that apply to this website and to pilot requests submitted through it.

1. Who these terms are between

This website is operated by D8Diffusion, established in the European Union ("we", "us"). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. What this website is

This site describes Digital Twin Simulation, a simulation engine that is in research and development. It is an informational site. Nothing on it is an offer, a quotation, or a commitment to deliver software.

Descriptions of what the software does reflect its state at the date shown in the status section. The engine is under active development, so capabilities described as working may change, and capabilities described as future direction may never be built.

3. Demo visuals

Visual material on this site illustrates how the engine works. Where a visual is a stylised illustration rather than an actual output, we say so on the visual itself. Do not treat any visual as a measurement, a prediction, or a deliverable.

4. Pilot requests

Submitting the pilot form is a request to talk, not an agreement. No contract arises until we have both signed something, or until we confirm in writing that we are taking the work on. We may decline a request, and we are not obliged to give a reason.

If we do take on a pilot, we will agree in writing what it covers — including what happens to any data you share with us and who owns the results. Until that exists, do not send us confidential material.

5. Your data and your inputs

If you send us data, you confirm you are entitled to share it. We handle personal data as described in our privacy statement. Please do not submit personal data about other people, or confidential material, through the website form.

6. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, layout, graphics and code — belongs to us or is used with permission, unless stated otherwise. You may read it, quote it with attribution, and link to it. You may not present it as your own or use it commercially without our written permission.

"D8Diffusion" and "Digital Twin Simulation" are names we use.

7. Third-party data and attribution

Some material on this site derives from third-party data sources, notably OpenStreetMap. Those sources carry their own licences and attribution requirements, which are listed on the data sources page. Those licences apply to that material independently of these terms.

8. Availability

We aim to keep this site available but we do not guarantee it. We may change or remove any part of it at any time, including content that is currently published. We are not liable for any loss caused by the site being unavailable.

9. Accuracy and liability

We take care to describe our work accurately, and we correct errors when we find them. Even so, the site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on anything on it, including market information and forward-looking statements about capabilities.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Links elsewhere

Where we link to other sites, we do so because we think they are relevant. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
